European automotive group
How do you carry out the cultural change that has to come before any digital transformation, starting with the executive team?
The situation
After a serious reputational crisis, the group had to move from denial to acceptance and then to change. Digital transformation was on the agenda, but the culture of the leadership team had to shift first.
What we did
We supported the training of leaders, executives and finance officers in effective communication, often working against their reluctance to acknowledge the situation. We contributed digital ethics protocols, a C-level crisis map and training in digital listening, and helped keep the approach consistent across locations.
What changed
Over the following years the group redefined its executive values, strengthened its protocols and relied more on financial dashboards to steer results. Our contribution was one part of a much larger effort.
